Alberta the last week or so) -25 deg C with a windchill of -40 deg C and lots of snow. Get a set of good winter tires (Michelin X-ice, Bridgestone Blizzaks, Pirelli Winter Sport / Winter Carver, etc.) If it is really bad, get some winter tires with steel studs. However, you must check your state regulations for having tires with steel studs. Some states / provinces allow for them, some don't allow them at all, and some allow them for part of the year. There is absolutely no replacement for good winter tires!
